Spring Update 2016

We here at The James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy are very excited about what 2016 holds in store for UC ACCP!  This past fall, five of our student members attended the ACCP annual meeting in San Francisco, California, where we had multiple students present posters and brush shoulders with the leaders of ACCP.  We are in the process of implementing our first ever round table event at the college, to emulate the round tables we have grown so accustomed to at OCCP and ACCP meetings.  This event will focus on residency and the match process and give students the opportunity to meet current residents and recently matched fourth year pharmacy students.  This spring will also see the second iteration of the Organ Donation Awareness Challenge.  Last spring, this challenge pitted individual classes within our college against one another to see which class had the most organ donors.  This spring we will be hosting this competition between our college and our neighbors across the street at the college of medicine.  We will be continuing our lunch-and-learn series and anyone who will be in the Cincinnati area is welcome to attend our tri-weekly meetings.  We hope to continue our national and local involvement and look forward to seeing everyone at the OCCP Spring meeting!
